Paul Francis Naylor-Gray, Musical Director

Paul is a highly qualified and experienced music teacher, facilitator and musical director. He is qualified to postgraduate level, having a Masters Degree in Composition and a PGCE. He also has an extensive publication and research experience profile. He has taught music in schools and worked in universities as a senior lecturer in music and music education. He has written and developed accredited courses, Certificate and Diploma Programmes for the Universities of Birmingham, Warwick and Lancaster covering the theoretical and practical aspects of music making in a range of styles and disciplines, including mainstream Classical Music, Primary Music Education, Jazz Studies, Popular Music, Music Technology, Opera Studies and Musical Theatre. Paul is the proprietor of Dancing Bear Academy. He manages the organisation, directs its two choirs and delivers tuition and workshops in music, choral singing and sound healing.

David Naylor-Gray, Vocal Coach

BA Hons. English and Drama (Birm); Cert.Ed in Music (Birm); PG Dip in Singing (UCE)

David will be employed to deliver one-to-one voice tuition and workshops in singing, drama and therapy using techniques of vocal release and chanting. He will also be the Artistic Director of the Dancing Bear Opera Company.

David is qualified to postgraduate level having a Diploma in Singing from Birmingham Conservatoire. He has taught singing and has co-authored, developed and delivered courses in Musical Theatre and Opera Studies for Warwick and Lancaster Universities. He has extensive experience of one-to-one vocal tuition and in assisting the personal development of voice work.
